How does KYC verification work?
Users complete a quick KYC by adding Aadhaar number and OTP. This helps ensure trust and safety for both renters and owners.
How is pricing decided? Can I negotiate?
Owners set the daily/weekly price and any deposit. You’ll see the total cost clearly before confirming. For some listings, owners may allow custom offers — you can message the owner inside the app to discuss duration-based pricing.
What if an item gets damaged?
If an item is damaged, the renter is responsible for the cost. Security deposits and verification help protect owners.
Can I cancel a booking?
Yes. Cancellation terms can vary by listing and are shown before you confirm. If you cancel close to the pickup/start time, a small fee may apply to compensate the owner for blocking dates. You’ll always see the exact refund amount before finalizing the cancellation.
How do I get paid as an owner?
Once your item is successfully rented, you will get earnings by renting your item on Renten. The user will pay you the renting amount and deposit amount. Once the renting period is done, you will refund the user’s deposit and collect your product.
Is there a fee to list my item?
Listing your item on Renten is completely free. We only charge a small commission when you successfully rent it out.
